I had a great experience with Jessie on a large project for my home. I wasn't really sure what plants I wanted except for a few, but I wanted flowering bushes, easy to take care of and wanted most of them to keep their leaves year round. Everything he recommend was great and was what I was looking for. He did a large area in the back yard with three types of bushes, mulch and a border wall. He is coming back the Fall and will plant Fescue for me in the backyard. As you can see from the pictures, it's desperately needed. In the front yard I had a island with lots of pine trees I had to remove which left a large empty area and he planted four trees for me which will flower. He also got the largest trees available without having to go into a burlap wrap. He did another area outside of my fence with three types of bushes that over time will bloom, and another area at the top of my drive way with a wall, large bush and mulch and did some smaller bushes down my driveway on one side. He also did a rock wall around some bushes in the front yard. Lastly, he did three under ground drainage pipes because of water drainage issues on the side and back yards. I found Jessie VERY easy to work with, flexible with my ideas, and was very good with communication before and during the project. He's a very honest man with a heart to help his customers in making sure they are happy... and I'm one of them.

Expert Erosion Control in Jefferson, GA
Erosion control is one of the most common drainage needs for Jefferson property owners. Sloped lots, heavy rain events, and clay-mixed soils all work together to move soil off your yard and away from your foundation. When runoff is not managed, it cuts channels through lawns, washes out planting beds, and undermines patios, fences, and retaining walls. Barnes Landscape Professionals assesses your drainage patterns, slope grade, and soil conditions before recommending a solution. We address the cause, not just the surface damage. Many Jefferson properties also contain drainage swales, ditches, or small streams that require specific stabilization work to keep banks intact. Our team grades, stabilizes, and redirects water flow so your soil stays where it belongs. Whether your yard shows early signs of washout or active erosion channels, we can build a system that holds up through the wet season. Contact Barnes Landscape Professionals to schedule a property assessment in Jefferson.

Erosion Control FAQ
Common questions about erosion control in Jefferson, GA.
Visible signs include bare soil patches, ruts or channels forming after rain, and mulch or topsoil washing downhill. If you see these on your Jefferson property, a drainage assessment can identify the cause.
Yes, soil loss near your foundation allows water to pool and create pressure against the structure. Jefferson properties on sloped lots or near drainage paths face higher risk from unmanaged runoff.
Yes, swales and ditches are common on Jefferson properties and can be stabilized to prevent bank erosion. Barnes Landscape Professionals addresses both surface runoff and channel bank issues.
Erosion control stops the active soil movement first, which allows bare areas to be regraded and restored. Without fixing the drainage cause, surface repairs in Jefferson yards will not hold.
No, even gently sloped Jefferson lots can lose soil when clay-heavy ground sheds water quickly during storms. Flat areas with poor grading can also collect and redirect runoff in damaging ways.
We evaluate your slope, soil type, drainage patterns, and any existing swales or channels on your Jefferson property. That information guides the specific grading and stabilization work your yard needs.
